While studying at Georgia Tech, Monica knew that she wanted to choose a career path that had a positive impact on people and the planet. Her interest in sustainability and the built environment, along with her passion to affect change in her community, led to a successful Project Engineering internship in the Operations team at Skanska USA. During her tenure at Skanska, Monica helped develop the sustainable site waste management solutions that were implemented for Georgia Tech’s Kendeda Building, Atlanta’s first Living Building Challenge Certified project. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Monica continued her career in sustainability and gained a wealth of knowledge as a Sustainability Reviewer.  Now as a Sustainability Consultant, Monica looks forward to pursuing her goal of having a lasting positive impact on the built environment. In her free time, Monica is an avid hiker and enjoys movement arts including yoga, dancing and aerial arts.
