Senior sustainability consultant
Lauren brings over 15 years of experience to the diverse Ecoworks team.
Lauren began her career in 2005 with AECOM leading and contributing to multi-disciplinary teams for a variety of recreation, retail, and mixed-use landscape architecture and urban design projects throughout the Pacific Northwest and abroad.
In 2012 she took her knowledge of the A&E industry to the US Green Building Council (USGBC) where she served as the primary business contact for over 270 USGBC member companies with a focus on A&E consultancies and real estate investment trusts (REITs). She managed accounts to dramatically improve the customer experience, grow relationships, promote USGBC products and services and help member companies meet their sustainability, LEED certification, and corporate social responsibility goals.
By late 2015 Lauren had shifted her focus to USGBC’s technical customer service team, where she served as a subject matter expert supporting all USGBC and GBCI published guidance related to LEED, SITES, WELL and EDGE certifications. Drawing upon her knowledge of and direct experience with the extensive suite of GBCI Rating Systems, she assisted project teams by serving as a resource and problem-solver for all technical issues. She found improving customer experience through direct and knowledgeable customer engagement to be extremely rewarding.
While passionate about leaving the world a better place through her professional work, Lauren also finds time to contribute at the local level. She is currently serving a four-year term as an elected Borough Council member. As the Vice-President, she also chairs the Public Works/Public Welfare Committee, sits on the Planning Commission, and Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee. As a mother of two she is also involved with the local school district sitting on the Superintendent’s Advisory Council and the district’s Counseling Department Advisory Board.
When not in a meeting, she can be found transporting her children to extracurricular activities, walking the dogs, or reading a good book.
