Ivonne is a native of Costa Rica with extensive experience in residential and commercial projects. She holds a B.A. in Architecture and an M.A. in Design for Sustainability. Throughout her career, she has specialized in developing highly efficient homes and overseeing quality control and certification processes such as Passive House and Zero Energy. Her experience as a project manager for interior design and furniture projects sparked her interest in WELL certification.

 

As a design researcher, Ivonne has employed ethnographic methods to explore social innovation and behavioral change, with a passion for making sustainability practices accessible through universal channels like sports and music.

 

Since joining Ecoworks Studio, Ivonne has been a key member of our Performance Testing Studio, serving as a Performance Testing Agent (PTA). In this role, she collaborates onsite with project teams to achieve WELL Certification and conducts LEED IAQ Testing. When not onsite, she performs WELL Reviews for complex projects in our Certification Review Studio.

 

In her spare time, Ivonne is an avid traveler who enjoys learning about new cultures and languages, speaking English, Spanish, and Portuguese. She loves spending time outdoors, hiking, and occasionally climbing. Additionally, Ivonne volunteers with organizations focused on environmental protection and enjoys reading books on sustainability and behavioral economics.
