LEED AP BD+C, E.I.T.
Lizette is an emerging green buildings professional with a background in Mechanical Engineering. UC Irvine is where she kicked off her passion for finding climate solutions in the 21st century, managing the Solar Car Team and working with on-campus sustainability organizations. With 4 years of experience in the building construction industry, Lizette has worked on a variety of new construction projects. She started her career as a Commissioning Agent for healthcare buildings in Southern California, writing and executing functional tests, and analyzing trend data for HVAC equipment. She later pivoted into energy modeling with hopes of providing creating a cleaner, healthier built environment with larger-scale energy efficiency measures. In just two years, she has completed more than 10 energy models for LEED and FGBC certification in Trace 700, Trace 3D Plus, and eQuest. Lizette also has LEED AP BD+C and Engineer-in-Training credentials.
Lizette currently resides in Long Beach, California. She enjoys most “homebody activities,” such as cooking, crocheting, and creating low-budget Halloween costumes. When she’s not at home, you’ll see her traveling to national parks, cruising in her “Pumpkin” Miata, or creating videos of her adventures.
